The Role
|
|
Wind Prospect Africa is seeking an enthusiastic, self-starting individual who can undertake project management of wind farm sites throughout South Africa. The role would be to oversee the construction work on behalf of the client to ensure the project is being constructed to the highest possible standards meeting local and international standards.
The applicant would be based in our Cape Town office and will be required to travel to the sites on a regular basis to carry out site meetings and monitor progress. The project manager would be responsible for all aspects of the project and will ensure the project is built on time and on budget. |

The Candidate
|
- Proven ability to manage large EPC contracts on time and within budget.
- Previous experience of project management and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Good engineering, people management and communication skills.
- Energetic committed person who can work in a flexible way when necessary to achieve goals.
- Good Level of Computer Literacy – MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Afrikaans Desirable
- Essential – Engineering Degree Qualification (Civil/Structural or Electrical preferred).
- Essential – 10 years construction experience
- Essential – 4 years + experience in managing large construction contracts
- Desirable – Previous experience in wind energy
